As busy student leaders, we often forget to take care of ourselves before taking care of our many responsibilities and commitments. This session will remind you of the importance of taking care of your overall wellness, and will provide you with some useful tools to avoid burnout and practice mindful self care!

Katie Allan is the current Team Lead Involvement at the University of Alberta Students' Union. She is responsible for overseeing all of the volunteer led student services and gets to work with some really inspiring students and staff! During her Psychology degree she was heavily involved with mental health initiatives and became very passionate about self care as a response to burnout, compassionate fatigue and a crazy schedule.
